“Experience Quality” – this was the promise that was required to be tangible at the annual New Year Conference in order to move markets and people in the future. The event demonstrated the defining elements of quality and how they can be harnessed to initiate or maintain human emotions or market dynamics. The subject was interpreted with the aid of futuristic and uncannily lifelike projections that gave the brand HanseMerkur a new, unique dynamism.

An exhibition marketplace not only informed participants about the umbrella topic, but also provided them with a platform for the exchange of ideas among colleagues at the same time. The exhibition booths featured displays that conveyed the respective core statements to visitors in holographic form. The employees subsequently gathered in the Europa-Park Arena for a plenary session. The opening sequence and individual presentations were staged with the help of imposing holographic images of the Board and management, animated charts and fascinating holograms projected on a stage that was 28 meters long, 15 meters deep and 6 meters high.

The Conference was rounded off by a gala evening. The underlying musical theme during dinner was “Swing”. A special highlight was the holographic portrayal of HanseMerkur managers as “Stars of Swing”. The “Star Awards Ceremony” – honoring the best sales employees of the previous year – was the highlight of the evening. The show program full of variety, featuring high-energy performances by artistes and singers, was superbly complemented by impressive three-dimensional holographic figures apparently suspended in mid-air.
